Lynn Anne Miller, CEO, brings more than 20 years of experience in corporate marketing to 4GreenPs. She is a recognized social media trailblazer, yet also has a long track record of delivering measurable marketing results for B2B, B2G, B2C and non-profit organizations.

At 4GreenPs, Lynn works closely with clients to establish and implement results-driven marketing programs. She develops each client’s marketing program plan,  serves as the primary client interface, and assembles virtual specialist teams to best meet each account’s unique needs.

Online Marketing  Expertise An early adopter of online marketing techniques, Lynn deployed SEO for media relations as early as 1997, a decade before SEO became standard PR industry practice. Lynn was recognized in The Internet Marketing Report for achieving superior B2B e-newsletter metrics.  She has appeared in reports about business use of social media in The Washington Post, The Washington Business Journal, and CNN.com, among others. She has spoken about marketing planning and measurement, online and inbound marketing,  social media, PR and sustainability issues to the Online Marketing Summit (keynote panel), Sustainable Brands Forum, Public Relations Society of America/IPRA, The Cool Twitter Conference, and on radio programs such as KVMR’s See Jane Do program, among others.

Awards and Recognition Lynn’s work has been recognized with awards including:

  • 2011 PR News Non Profit Awards Winner, Best Fundraising Campaign (NCC’s 52 in 52 Campaign);
  • a Webby Award for the pioneering B2B website of Telogy Networks (acquired by Texas Instruments)

She is also the recipient of Lehigh University’s Alumni Award, the University’s highest alumni honor for professional achievements and service to the university and community.

From Venture-Backed B2B Start-Ups to the Fortune 500 Prior to starting her own firm in 2006, Lynn spent 20 years working in B2B sales and marketing for technology start-ups and Fortune 500 companies. Throughout this period, she acquired a reputation for consistently setting new standards of achievement for managing existing initiatives, restructuring underperforming programs, and launching innovative approaches to meet marketing, sales, and communications challenges.

As Director of Corporate Marketing for Telogy Networks, she led award-winning public relations, marketing communications and internet marketing programs that positioned Telogy as the technology leader in Voice over IP. The company was subsequently acquired by Texas Instruments for 100x revenue ($700M). While at TI, Lynn worked as a worldwide media relations manager, managing communications across 16 different worldwide businesses in North America, Asia, Europe, and Japan.

Lynn began her career as a newspaper reporter, working for regional papers in New Jersey and Pennsylvania before making a switch to corporate communications as a writer for the CBS Broadcast Group.

Education and Public Speaking Lynn recently attended Harvard Business School’s “Marketing Innovative Technologies” executive program.  She received an MBA from Georgetown University, an MA (Maitrise) in Political Science from the University of Paris I at the Sorbonne, and a BA from Lehigh University. She also attended the University of Bonn, Germany.

Leslie Gilliam

Leslie Gilliam, Public Relations Consultant

Leslie Gilliam’s deep expertise in public relations is focused on the female and environmental sectors, with special expertise in consumer products, organic foods, and eco-friendly cleaners.

At 4GreenPs, Leslie has played an integral role in the Earth Mama Angel Baby, NCC, Green My Parents, FreshFarm Markets, Mom Made Foods, Livability Project, Mr. Beams, and kajeet account teams.

Prior to 4GreenPs, Leslie provided PR counsel to companies including Honest Tea, America’s top selling organic bottled tea; Healthy Spaces, the first DC area environmentally friendly home cleaning service; and the Smithsonian Institution Press, publisher of award-winning non-fiction books. Leslie’s many successful media outreach campaigns have generated coverage in outlets including NBC Nightly News, CNN, The Washington Post, The New York Times, and Seventeen Magazine.

Previously, she was Director of PR/Marketing for the Girl Scout Council of the Nation’s Capital where she spearheaded the public relations efforts behind the annual cookie sale, helping push sales to a then all-time high of $11 million. She garnered national press coverage of the sale; Camp CEO, a leadership camp for D.C. area CEO’s and girls; Money Matters program; and coordinated special events on a national and local level.

During Leslie’s time with Honest Tea, Consumer Reports named the product best bottled tea. Leslie also worked on the development of Honest Tea’s first children’s drink, working with the creative team on product naming, messaging, focus group tastings, and packaging as well as leading communications outreach at key natural products shows such as Expo West and Expo East.

Leslie holds a BA from the University of North Carolina at Asheville in Journalism/Communications.


Robyn Miller-Tarnoff

Robyn Miller-Tarnoff, Public Relations Consultant

Robyn’s deep PR background includes a blend of senior level roles in a variety of settings: agency, corporate, and non-profit.

At 4GreenPs, Robyn has been a key member of the Earth Mama Angel Baby and Mr. Beams account teams. Robyn was responsible for securing media and blog placements and developing communications materials which helped Mr Beams triple its website traffic and double its sales within three months.

Prior to 4GreenPs, she spent five years managing publicity for the non-profit American Farmland Trust. There she cultivated relationships with reporters that generated millions of media impressions for the land conservation group in both consumer and trade press.

Robyn also served as account supervisor at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, where she successfully brokered partnerships and expanded media coverage for a variety of clients. She has also worked for SeniorDECISION.com, Mental Health America, and the City of Boston.

Robyn holds a Masters in Public Administration from George Washington University’s School of Business and Public Management and a Bachelor’s degree from Tufts University.

4GreenPs collaborates with other boutique agencies, larger firms, and some of DC’s top independent PR professionals. We scale up or down depending on client needs. Lynn Miller sits on the Board of the Independent PR Alliance of Washington DC, a sub-section of the Public Relations Society of America. Many of our choice collaborators are seasoned DC professionals whom we know well from IPRA.

Our Wonderful Interns and  4GreenPs Paid Internship Program

Our interns are wonderful young people, passionate about sustainability and using business to make the world a better place. We plan to keep these profiles up indefinitely, as they’ll always be a part of 4GreenPs. They come to us and share their energy, enthusiasm, and great ideas, and in return we give them a taste of the “real world” of running a green business. Our goal is that they leave us a bit richer – financially, intellectually, and emotionally.

MBA Internship Program

Adrienne Weil, CSR and Marketing Strategy Intern, Fall 2010 – Spring 2011.

Adrienne is  an MBA candidate (2011) at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, where she focuses on marketing and socially responsible business.  At 4GreenPs, Adrienne was instrumental in helping to lay the strategy behind a new CSR offering. She also earned her certification as a Hubspot Inbound Marketer. While at Georgetown, she was part of the initial group of students who worked with Professor Bill Novelli to envision Georgetown’s Global Social Enterprise Initiative and has provided critical reviews of Coca-Cola Enterprise’s and Cisco’s CSR reports with Prof. Ed Soule.   Adrienne completed a brand management internship at Nestle in the summer of 2010 and has volunteered as a cook at Miriam’s Kitchen in DC for several years.  Prior to business school, Adrienne traveled all over the U.S. to major hospitals and health systems as a consultant with the Advisory Board Company.  She holds a B.A. in International Relations from Brown University and is a native Washingtonian.

Eric Schreiber, Summer Intern, 2011

Eric joins us from Canada’s McGill University, where he is a rising senior, majoring in psychology with a behavioral science minor. A graduate of our local high school, Bethesda-Chevy Chase, he is a native of Chevy Chase, Maryland. Eric is the Creative Director and Founder of an award-winning online magazine, Leacock’s. He also served as Arts Editor of his high school magazine, which won a Silver Crown award from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association, ranking it in the top 2% of high school magazines nationwide. Since 2005, Eric has run his own business, Eric’s Computer Care, which assists clients with all computer related troubles, including set-up, maintenance, repair, and data security.

Mattie Kahn, Summer Intern, 2010

Mattie is a talented young writer and environmental activist who will be entering Harvard University in the fall of 2011.  While at 4GreenPs, she contributed to the launch of our e-newsletter and to OrganicMania.com.  She has written about green issues for a variety of publications.  She was featured in a March 2009 Vogue story about Teens Turning Green, where she served as co-president of the national teen advisory board.  As an online columnist and contributing editor for beautyblitz.com, she inaugurated a natural makeup-and-beauty column for the first national beauty magazine to be published entirely online.  Mattie also contributes to Refinery29, Whole Foods Market blog, and www.ecofabulous.com. Mattie is a two-time Silver Key winner of the New York City Scholastic Art and Writing Competition and a Bronfman Youth Fellow.
